A recap on all of the garden designs we've completed in 2018
It's been a good year for the Distinctive Gardener - we've completed a numerous array of exciting and challenging garden projects. With our keen eye for distinctive garden design, my co-designer Douglas and I talk you through five of our gardening highlights from 2018.
1. Garden with Curved Paths and Circular Beds
The curved path of this front garden really takes you on a journey to the front door of this detached Edwardian style home, complemented by the elegant brick paving design. Read more about this fantastic garden transformation here.
2. Large Contemporary Garden with Stunning Pergola
Making the most of the space in this large contemporary garden is the stunning black pergola centrepiece, complete with a dining area perfect for entertaining. Being in the city, we used water features as a way to bring a calm ambience to the garden. Read more about this garden transformation here.
3. Magical Courtyard Garden
One of our favourite designs in our portfolio is this magical courtyard garden, with a central, shelved pergola that creates a focal point and sense of seclusion - especially when the climbing plants come into their own the following season! Read all about this garden design here.
4. Large Garden with Classical Features
As per the clients' brief, this lengthy garden becomes a seamless extension of the kitchen/diner, packed with classical features applied in a contemporary way, that sees this garden divided into distinct 'zones'. See this garden's transformation here.
5. Family Garden with Terrace, Trampoline...and Rabbit Run!
From a long garden to a garden fit for all the family; although not a large space, we rose to the challenge to create a flower-filled garden to satisfy both the adults, the kids and not forgetting the family pets: the rabbits! Read about this garden's transformation here.
