A Sunken Courtyard Designed for Entertaining

This contemporary courtyard garden in Richmond was redesigned to transform a previously underused area into a sociable, immersive outdoor space that could be enjoyed throughout the day and into the evening.

Positioned directly outside a kitchen diner with floor-to-ceiling glazing, the garden needed to function both as a destination and as a visually engaging backdrop when viewed from inside the house.
